THE PRACTICE

Our Counselors
Kristina Hayden - Frankfort
Counselor, MEd, LPCC-S

I work with adolescents, adults, children, couples, families, and groups. As a counselor, I believe the most important element in treatment is the relationship between the therapist and the client. Utilizing this relationship we can work together to address many of life's challenges. It is my goal to help clients learn coping skills in a supportive, warm and nonjudgmental environment. My experience includes working with trauma survivors, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders and family conflict while focusing on relapse prevention.

Utilizing a Wellness Model, I focus on a client's right to recover and be well, enjoy a quality life, make their own choices and guide their own lives. Through the use of evidence-based techniques, clients may learn effective coping skills to resolve the challenges facing them.

Our offices at Healthy Minds Counseling Services, Inc. allow a client to feel comfortable and secure while they work to resolve various life challenges. Through the therapeutic relationship, I believe I can assist my client in obtaining their goals.

Megan Ashby - Frankfort

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families treating a variety of life's problems. I am committed to providing a safe, supportive, and judgment free environment for all of my clients. As a counselor I use a variety of techniques and work to increase my clients coping skills, communication skills, and ability to deal with life's full variety of problems. I work from and focus on evidenced based treatments to provide clients with the best treatment possible to sustain their long term mental health.

The focus of my work has been around trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, parenting, family issues, and more. Although, I am comfortable working with adolescents, children, and adults who come to therapy with a wide range of concerns. I combine elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.

Our practice is a safe comfortable place for our clients to make the changes that they desire and to improve their lives. With my assistance I know that change and growth is attainable for all of my clients.
